Hi,

I have a RaQ4r with 256 Ram for only two months.
I am not familiar with Linux OS. If you experts can help
me, it will be very appreciated.

I used TOP command to monitor my server and got result
like this:

load average: 0.35, 0.44, 0.48
110 processes: 109 sleeping, 1 running, 0 zombie, 0 stopped
CPU states: 11.1% user, 11.1% system, 0.0% nice, 77.7% idle
Mem: 257816K av, 241116K used, 16700K free,
Swap: 131448K av, 17992K used, 113456K free

The free memory is only 16Mb (6.4%) left at that moment.
Is it time to upgrade?

I'd think it is getting there. Sites still serving fine, db apps still fast enough?

in any unix/linux environment, you'll always find your physical ram being used up to the max. thats why theres the swap usage as well. when most of the swap is used up, then you know you have to get more ram.

Thanks a lot.

So, I don't need to worry my budget at this moment. :)
