View Full Version : How do you handle multiple currencies?

This is something I have wondered for quite some time. I am currently in the position where I am providing hosting services to a decent amount of both American and Australian Clients. Of course, the Australians want to be billed in Australian Dollars and the Americans in US Dollars.

What I was wondering is how other hosts handle this situation? Do you have your central currency, and every month upon invoicing convert the $ amount and put that amount in the invoice? Or do you set specific rates for each plan and not worry about any fluctuations?

Thankyou,
Alex

Not sure what works for others but we have found that stating prices in whatever currency, and keeping them that way, works for us. Being in Canada, it's Canadian/American currencies we deal with and find that Clients are happy with choosing one of them.

Although pricing in one currency will be higher than the other, giving people the option seems to solve any currency problems. If they don't like the higher currency they can pay in the other. Options & Features, all part of good Service. ;)

I suppose one could offer more than two currencies but having to buy/obtain a seperate Billing script License for each one can get expensive.
