I am looking for an outsourced tech support provider in India that can offer online support and preferably phone support as well. My client base is in India.

Any suggestions on companies to go with? Or experiences to share?

I find it amusing that this is the total opposite (country wise) of most people. I almost recommended an American company but I'd say an Indian company such as BobCares will be your ticket (no pun intended.)

Yes, thats exactly what I'm looking for. Someone in India, but I need someone who can give me a dedicated phone number for support. Bobcares and most other companies I've seen here on WHT seem to be aimed for the US market.

Would you want the support to be in English?

Yep thats true that most of the support companies are promoted keeping the US and UK market in mind.. but I suggest you to inquire those support companies as many of them do offer customizable support options..

Well, I think there are no restriction of specific geographical boundry for targeting and also applicable for taking outsource suport, I remember the quote by Alphonso Jackson “The other part of outsourcing is this: it simply says where the work can be done outside better than it can be done inside, we should do it”.

Basically it allows companies to reduce costs and that benefits consumers with lower cost.

Yeah, I would give Bobcares a phone call on their India line. I'm sure they would be happy to offer you an India Phone Support solution, along with ticket support. They can be pretty flexible with their support options.

Just my two cents :peace:

I have had bad experiences with an indian management company, their culture is completely different - you'll see that if problems come up.

Well I know many people who experienced bad services from outsourced companies, might not dare to outsource again.... but as we know, not all fingers of our hands are same..

Many times, people go for cheap support solution providers and face the quality compromises. But judging the entire nation just on that experience -- i dont think that is fair enough.

Anyway, that is the individuals decision -- whether to outsource or not !!

ThinkSupport, I agree with you. The management company I was with always told me "This is very hard, but we will do it for you", but they did not ... I thought it's the different culture where it is hard to say a "No" to a customer. They should have said "We can do it for you if you pay xxx $", then I would have understand ...

Also the funny 24h support ... On my worktimes, the only responce I got was "Thanks for your ticket, please wait 8h until our tech arrives in the morning (of india) ...". And the server was completely down :)

But of course I am thinking of outsourcing again, and will also take india companies into consideration.

Sorry to hear about that bad experience..

But I do appreciate your decision and wish you a good luck for your future search.. :)

I have had similar experiances with the "this is hard be we will do it for you". Although you cant hold up one company/person to judge a whole culture/country by, you can get a generalization from a number of experiances with various support companies in india that outsource to the u.s., I have had some techs that are enthusiastic and take their job seriously, have very good english skills, and are good at what they do, and I have had those experiances where im getting told to $#% off basically.

However I think the technicians reflect the type of management the outsourced companies are run by. For instance you will see a certain level of professionalism with an outsourced support office run by americans in india for an american corporation, compared to possibly an outsourced support office run by indians for a latitiude of corporations in america.

Just my 2 cents.

HostingSupport4U.com - I've been working with those guys for over a year now and they have provided me outstanding service from day one. They'll give you a free trial of their services so go check them out.

A good portion of this company's client base is from India, so they're right up your alley.
