I have a new client who is transfering hosts. he has 1.8 GB worht of files on his current account with his old host. When i ran the WHM import script, it only got about 200-300 mb worth of his files.

Does this script only import a certain amount of files until it quits?

it went all the way though till the end, got all the databases etc...

thanks

Not at all - I transferred a 4GB account with WHM and cpmove and it all came through nicely (except for mysql corruption)

You may have timed out when transfering the tarball.

Hello BluFX,
If your client has 1gb of files in /home/<user>/public_html/, then you can gzip the whole dir, and make a script from your current server to grab it. Once its done downloading the file you can move the contents to this new account's public_html
Now if its a FULL cPanel backup, then it will be pretty hard to upload. Most of the time your server will time out and therefore you lose the other half.

If anyone has any suggestions feel free to correct me

Why not login to the old account make a full backup, then ftp it to your own server and restore it

Google for the cpmove command line process, assuming you have shell access at both sides, it's a lot more effective.
