Techark 06-01-2002, 04:45 AM quickcerts still have a better compatablity and Rackshack has them for $49.00. Monte NexDog doesn't use Rackshack:rolleyes: Techark 06-01-2002, 05:19 AM forum why not buy a cert from them if it is cheaper than anywhere else. Monte Haze 06-01-2002, 05:19 AM You don't have to use rackshack to get an SSL cert from them. GordonH 06-01-2002, 05:22 AM Hello We use both We pay $38 wholsesale for the Comodo certs and $85 for Geotrust The compatibility is the same except Comodo does not support Opera (but will from the next Opera upgrade). The other differences are: Geotrust is a single cert installation - Comodo has a ca bundle to add (Not difficult once you have done the first one). Geotrust insist on mailing a contact at the domain name for permission to issue the cert - Comodo don't (if you are signed up as aweb host not a reseller). I am quite happy with the comodo certificates at the moment although I woul dbe happier if they had a single cert install. Gordon NexDog 06-01-2002, 08:08 AM Actually, we use Rackspace. ;) coight 06-01-2002, 08:15 AM Even though we have had numerous problems with Rackshack  we have bought quite a few ssl certs from them with no problems. I highly recommend them for the certs! NexDog 06-01-2002, 10:04 PM Look, I'm asking about InstantSSL here. Why keep on about Rackshack? We don't use them and never will. This is a genuine request for info, not an excuse for people to post useless spam and up their count, know what I mean? vibehosts 06-01-2002, 10:39 PM ROFL,, I know what you mean but I don't believe that was in their minds they were just taken away, anyways my friend uses instantssl and hasn't had any problems and says they are good with browser compatibility. Chicken 06-01-2002, 11:57 PM NexDog, you asked: Originally posted by NexDog InstantSSL seems to very attractive - certs at $49. Are they that good with browser compatibility? Any experiences out there? Originally posted by Monte quickcerts still have a better compatablity and Rackshack has them for $49.00. That seems to be feedback, and if quickcerts have better compatibility than what you are asking about and they cost the same well, then I'm not sure what you are asking? You only want info about InstantSSL and nothing else no matter what, ok, people no info about other certs. NexDog 06-02-2002, 05:20 AM Fair enough, Chicken. I was under the impression that Rackshack's certs were exclusive to their clients. if that is not the case, I will look into them for sure. Techark 06-02-2002, 05:35 AM other night and put on my server at DV2, good deal.. Monte |
