We have a server that contains www.abc.com and it has the mail accounts for @abc.com we have just installed a second mail server called test.abc.com with no mail users for abc.com. However on test.adc.com we have the mail server turned on so that the virtual domains can recieve mail etc.

When sending mail from one of the virtual sites on test.abc.com to an adress at @abc.com we get a user unkown error.

I understand why we get the error, but I need some help with how to fix this.

Any help would be appreciated.

Can you post the DNS zone files that you have set up for both and the domain name?

Worked it out. On the test.abc.com it had an alias in the mailserver for abc.com. Removed and all fixed.
