Ubiquity provides dedicated and colocation services from the Lakeside Technology Center (http://www.progressiveengineer.com/PEWebBackissues2004/PEWeb%2048%20Mar%2004-2/Lakeside.htm) in Chicago - an 8-story, 1,000,000 square foot technology facility centrally located in the middle Chicago, Illinois; serving as the area's largest carrier hotel. Downstream carrier connections on our network consist of Savvis, Level(3), and AT&T. Upstream bandwidth is a BGP mix with nLayer, PCCW, and TeliaSonera. Additionally, each carrier has routing equipment in the very same building, providing us an amazing network situation for some of the lowest possible pings in the city.

So how much bandwidth do the servers have natively.

Also, how much are OS reloads?

So how much bandwidth do the servers have natively.

Bandwidth plans are completely seperated from our server plans - so the lowest option on our dedicated systems is 900gb.

Also, how much are OS reloads?

Free.

Let us know if you have any other questions. :)

So we have to rent a server and rent bandwidth?

Well, yes, that's going to be the same everywhere - it's just how we present it. If we were to display 7 bandwidth options grouped with 4 servers there would need to be 28 plans here. And, if you count all our extra options for hardware and software, the number of plans would be multiplied even further - and in fact our custom signup interface actually does this, and has already created hundreds of them. So in order to keep things flexible and still readable, we break the options down to their most base level.

Just a thought. I've never seen a server company choose to charge bandwidth and server seperately.

No biggie - you're not the first to seek some clarification there :) There are a lot of things we do differently than other companies, but in the end we like to think our service is better for it. If you have any other questions don't hesitate to ask.

Hi Corey,

Can you post your test file (or PM it if you prefer)?

Thanks,
