Hi,
I have more than one raq server, and currently have nameservers on the same server. I am now trying to setup the secondary nameservers to be on seperate servers so in case server1 is down, server2 will temporarily provide web service for server1's domains.
I have read the instructions found here:
http://webhostingtalk.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=19846&highlight=secondary+dns+setup
Is this correct? Does anything else need to be done.

On the 2nd server (the one providing secondary DNS), other then creating ""Secondary Name Service for Domain" for each domain under DNS, do I also have to create a copy of the virtual site and regular DNS settings? Would I need to regularly transfer the files from server1's virtual sites to server2's, or does the zone transfer handle everything?

Thanks

Ivan

Hi David,
I don't think anything else needs to be done.

Webbcite hosts my NS2, and I have to email him whenever I add a new domain, so he can add it to the secondary, but once the new domain is added to the secondary, then it will automatically update if I make any changes on my end.
This is my understanding anyway.

You can always ask Webbcite if you have any more questions, as he is a moderator on Rackshack Forum. He is always very helpful.
