Someone told me ...

Never heard about them.
Just curious, why a "colo/dedi" still willing to earn additional money from valueclick, a pay per click ad company? :stickout

Someone told me he gets a 9Mbps connection for $100 a month from mdonline. That sounds hard to believe. The pricing for extra bandwidth usage is not clear from reading that URL.

A 100.00/month 9mbps connection is impossible, I can guerentee that. A cheap 9mbps connection for a provider is 5000.00/month, again 100.00/month is impossible.

It looks like your friend was talking about their port being burstable up to 10mbps but you still have to pay for the bandwidth, also their pipe is only T1 VERY SLOW, so whether or or not their ports send data at 9mbps IE 10mbps
when it reaches the backbon the fastest it could send is 1.54mbps which is the fastest a T1 can go, and you wont even get close to that speed, because you can expect it to be loaded with other people. Expect high bandwidth prices and slow speeds from this company.
