Hi All,

After extensive research I've decided that ENOM is the way to go for any small business in my opinion.

So I'm looking for a reliable ENOM ETP, so I can become a sub reseller.

If you are a sub of an ETP please can you post their contact details here. And please give me a review of their service.

Also I'm looking to pay the $6.95 / domain.

Kind Regards,

Ian Parker

You might want to search eBay for 6.95 eNom accounts. I haven't seen them here, at least lately. I am not sure about the reliability of the eBay seller though... You must do your homework yourself then...

Expect to pay $200-250 for the account.

200.00 is high money, I see cheaper on board

You won't get an Enom reseller to give you a sub-account for $6.95. Enom regulations say it's got to be $8.95 for the sub-account.

So, those that sell $6.95 accounts on eBay are basically fraudsters?

What I have heard is that those are old accounts when there were possible to setup 6.95 resellers under you...

They will be selling you an old sub account created for somebody else over 2 years ago.

It wont be a username of your choice and such.

We are an ETP - I can tell you that you cant get less than $8.95 for sub reseller now, unless your buying an old username from someone from a forum or ebay.

Sure, so its not actually worth going with ENOM unless you yourself is going to get a higher entry bringing the prices down.

Back to the domain name registration drawing board.

Can someone please recommend someone I can go with, that is going to provide me with 1 control panel to manage all my DNS. At this stage don't even worry about a reseller account.

Regards, and thanks for all your replies.

Well it depends on your volume.

If your willing to commit $7000 up front (which is used as credit to purchase domains) then Enom will give you a $6.95 account. Thats what we did.

Na we are just starting up, so don't have that kind of cash to stick up front!!

My basic needs at the moment, is a cost effective domain registration solution, where I can see and control all domains from one place.

I'm not happy to pay $9 approx for a domain when I can get them for $3 but with rubbish management. I'm after the $7 mark. max really.

I guess I must just get an ENOM $8.95 for myself, and work my way up to ETP level?

Well you could get a leased ModerBill license and sign up for their $7.95 Enom reseller. Then cancel the license after a month or keep it and keep the reseller account.

For me I ditched Enom because of their crappy .ca support and had my own OpenSRS plugin written for ClientExec.

Well, there *IS* a way to get $6.95 account at Moniker (highly recommended, although w/o reseller support). For free, of course.

As well as there *IS* the way to get $6.95 Stargate *reseller* account (and, unlike eNom or ResellerClub, this price is *final* - there aren't any Paypal/Creditcard charges on top of it). For free, of course.

It is not possibile to get a $6.95 enom reseller account unless you:

1) Buy an "old" account that existed before enom changed their pricing policy.

2) Get a reseller account directly under eNom.

Simple as that.

Be very careful if you signup for a reseller account "under" someone else (ie: not directly from enom). They have full power to change your pricing, regardless of what anyone tells you about "tricks" to limit it, etc. A simple ticket to enom to ask them to change your price will get the job done, regardless of what you think or do. The sub-account (reseller account you are using) is THEIRS, and they have full control over it (including liability).

Good luck picking a reseller.

Almost every registrar will give you a control panel to manage your DNS. How much do you want to pay? Free Enom sub-account $8.95, NameCheap $8.88 (can get under $8 using coupon codes). Fabulous $6.75 (if you sign up for their wholesale account). Moniker $6.85 (I think, but you gotta request it). DomainSite $7.99.

It's my opinion only, but I find the control panels of the $6+ registrars I've recommended, a tad frustrating. You get what you pay for. If you're concerned about control panels, I've been through an evaluation myself of over 30 registrars. I think Enom has the easiest, fastest control panel, by far. JeffK (iirc) thinks DynaDot has the best.

You can also get the $6.95 ETP for $1600 but only without points going into your enom account.

Moniker $6.85 (I think, but you gotta request it)

Correction. That's $6.95 and you have also to be a DNF member.

Those eBay sales are normally old accounts. I don't see anything fraudulent about their offerings.

Afaik, Enom only allow the creation of $8.95 sub-accounts these days

That would be a good choice. Just make sure you go with Enom directly. You have to pay their deposit (I forget how much).

I'd actually recommend, you get a free sub-account first. Kinda like you can give it a free test drive first. Then plunk down your advance for you own ETP account as your volumes increase.

You are not likely to get a recommendation from experienced domainers for many, if any, registrars under $7 (for only a few registrations).

If you insist on looking for cheap registrars, then you should do a google search for "cheap domain registrar". I'm sure you'll find plenty.

Buying an Enom $6.95 sub-reseller is always an option. You break even after about 120 domains.

one recommendation I forgot was MyDomain $8.50

Fabulous $6.75

Another correction. Fabulous doesn't come with DNS management (see, I told you it was a tad frustrating) ;)

Yet another option is to manage your DNS elsewhere for free, like at DomainDNS.com, MyDomain.com, ZoneEdit.com

There's another way to get a $6.95 ETP enom account that most people don't know. If you get over 1000 domains in your enom account, they will change your sub account into a true ETP account if you ask nicely. ;)

Doesn't it say that on their website? At least it use to say something to that extent.

It might. I didn't know about it until I had around 4000 domains in my account and asked them if I could get better pricing. They offered to turn my sub account into a real ETP account and I thought I hit the jackpot! :D

I think enom got greedy when the raised thier prices this year. I do not like doing business with them any more

My philohisphy is to discount domains cheaper through smaller registrars.

They never raised their prices. They're still $6.95. Each to their own philosophy, I guess :).

They raised their deposit fees in order to get to the $6.95 pricing level.

That's entirely different to raising their prices. Prices remain the same.
