I'm a hosting reseller, and one of my clients is a company that plans to send out hugh number of emails
(approximatelly 100 000/month). The owner of the server said that they don't allow that (as I expected). Are there any hosts out there that allow that. How much approximatelly that might cost?

Can you post here the client name and server IP they end up on so that a large number of us can add the machine to our REJECT list?
Thanks

Sending 100 000 emails a month doesn't automaticly mean that it's SPAM. It might be a big mailing list or a popular EZine.
If your client needs to send that much emails and it's not SPAM, you might want to consider a dedicated server.
100 000 emails on a shared account seems to be too much and if they are all sent at the same time, it's worst.

I know... sorry, it was an off the cuff remark. Shows how much I dislike SPAM / UCE. I dislike how much time I have to devote to battling it both personally and for the business. For my personal mail I dislike cutting entire countries off. Don't mail to me personally from Yahoo, Hotmail, etc, or from TW, JP, etc, because I will not get it. And still that isn't enough.
Re 100,000 - you are only talking 5,000 per business day. If you put it that way to a shared hosting company you may get a better response. We send more than that daily on one of our sites.
However, your hoster is well justified in asking how you plan on doing it, because a high volume mailer running unknown code may well put an obscene load on the box. Other issues including bounce back handling may be a real issue. And of course, if its not opt in mail, that's a real issue for many.
Some high quality hosters ban sending more than 100 pieces at a time. (Pair.com for one) You can deal with this in your application code easily enough. But for the plug-and-pray crowd who know nothing about their code, they are out of luck.

Thanksfor replies. Any links to hosts that allow that?

You should ask them. Find a host that suits your needs and send them an email asking them if they allow it.
I think that's the best thing you can do.
You may take a look at www.venturesonline.com, they are very good.
