Lately we find the ASUS mobo's of less than inferior quality.
The P5S800-VM reboots whenever the board feels like it. More people out there with the same problem ?
We have tried the ASUS website but to no avail. Even on the ASUS in house forum no details.
Looking for an alternative good mobo. Any suggestions ?
Sounds like it may be a defective board. If the board is still under warranty, ASUS will fix or replace it for no charge.

.....2 months later! I stopped using asus products many years ago because of the high failure rate we saw with their products, rma took months to complete and were sick of being messed around by them all the time
We've had really great success with ASUS. Defective boards are a fact of life with every manufacturer. I think ASUS has one of the lowest failure rates from our experience with them.
It all depends on what you are looking for, ASUS and ABIT have great reputations primarily because of all the overclocking and tweaking you can do with most of their boards. If you are looking for a stable, no-nonsense motherboard look at TYAN.
