Can you provide a link that we can look at to see what you have working?

Thanks,

Not sure what became of this thread but for anybody that is interested I have a set of scripts operational, that works from an orderform and sets up the users, dns, virtual sites, as well as a custom welcome page and a set of cgi scripts, such as wwwboard, formmail and guestbook.

Are they Cobalt specific? Have they been tested on a RaQ3/4?

In response to earlier questions, they are cobalt specific and have been tested on a RAQ3.

At the moment documentation is pretty much non-existent, making installation a guessing game, and I will be putting together some docs to make it easier to install.
The scripts require, the Cobalt Shell tools to be found
at
ftp://ftp.cobaltnet.com/pub/users/jeffb/shell-tools/

The Shell tools apparently have been included in the latest Cobalt O/S update, but anyway, you can check in /usr/sbin/cobalt for scripts such addvsite, if they are there you are in business.

I see no reason why these scripts won't work on RAQ2 and 4 but they haven't been tested.

Will keep you posted on progress with the docs.

You can get an automatic script here.

http://www.m2soft.com/~mjehlenz/signup.html

It works great I had to make a few modifications for my server but I think you all will be able to figure it out.

4webspace user the DNS update part wont work any more after the disable us from using our own dns servers.

let me know if you need help installing it.

I'm still looking forward to that script too! Because it setup those cgi scripts...

Brandon
