View Full Version : New User Welcome Posts
okihost 06-23-2006, 09:07 PM I am glad to see the new user welcome posts in that forum do not count against your post count. First thing upon seeing it thought of was all the abuse we would get from people posting 'Hi' to everyone that joined at least this way we will cut that out and keep the 'I am new here' riff-raff out of the lounge :)
Hey, I just noticed that too. Pretty neat :).

Christian 06-23-2006, 09:14 PM Yup is a good thing the post count is disabled in the New Users forum, I could just see the abuse. :eek2:
SoftWareRevue 06-23-2006, 09:18 PM Seems to be pretty active new forum. :)
That's a good thing. :agree:
I think it makes the welcomes more sincere when they're not tied to post count. :wht:
Aussie Bob 06-23-2006, 09:49 PM Can't we quote posts there? I see some wierd VB formatting going on there. :S
The Dude 06-23-2006, 09:57 PM On a couple sites im on they are disabled on the INTRODUCTIONS base :)
Ryan Smith 06-23-2006, 09:57 PM What is everyone talking about?
EDIT Wow, I'm slow... I just saw the new member’s forum. When was this created?
Konrad4 06-23-2006, 10:35 PM Quotes don't work in that forum. :(
Perhaps they disabled certain types of BBCode to prevent spam, however I am not sure how the quote function could be used for spam.
