Just noticed -- After a short hiatus (^1), www.HostCharge.com seems to be up and running smoothly, and Asher confirmed its in their new data center and fully functional again. Wahoo!
Thought I'd just advise the group here. :D

eddy2099 05-31-2002, 09:18 PM Here in Singapore, I could see the Hostcharge.com site but the images are not there no matter how I refresh the page.
Apparently, like others the FAQ page does not seems to work since that external link is probably still not populated.

Asher S 05-31-2002, 09:42 PM Sorry people, the debitaccess server had a slight dns problem, it has been fixed now. Secure.debitaccess.net which is our mcc server was accidentally pointing to another ip, its fixed now. And the faqs will be back up shortly.

If this is your idea of short I'd hate to see your idea of long. Come on! We're all in the hosting business.. If any of our servers go offline for more than a couple of minutes our customers complain. A short hiatus in hosting is when you have to reboot your server for a software upgrade. when the server is unreachable for more than 48 hours it is no longer a short hiatus.. hiatus is no longer a suitable word even
alwaysweb 05-31-2002, 11:07 PM I can't vouch for hostcharge's operations... but since I posted it was unavailable... and is available again now. Contact Asher to whine, I don't work for them, just use them for merchant processing.
Asher S 05-31-2002, 11:16 PM People, we are 100% back and throughout this week we will be working very hard to make HostCharge so redundant that nothing short of blowing the world in half would take HostCharge down.
We just need our clients to be confident in us. We have no plans of going defunct or anything so please dont think anything like that if our website goes down for a few minutes. If you have any questions about our plans for redundancy feel free to contact me.

THe faq and support pages will work shortly. We were waiting for the propagation of acenetsupport.com to complete before putting content into it.
