Neo3Net 05-31-2002, 03:10 PM Webmin is a great control panel if you understand it how to use it. Its not a client panel however, usermin is supposed to be able to be good for users but webmin is an administrators panel not a customer sort of thing. Thanks FiberOptic 05-31-2002, 03:19 PM It's more a SERVER panel... monitor - server configuration - ,.. it's not a webhosting control panel l Neo3Net 05-31-2002, 03:24 PM That explains it perfect!!! However, I have heard that usermin is a very good client control panel. Anyone have a demo going? Thanks Sainthax 05-31-2002, 06:35 PM about the only thing you can do with usermin is change passwords and email settings...not a big deal in webhosting Sainthax 05-31-2002, 07:08 PM Originally posted by Neo3Net Anyone have a demo going? Thanks check your PM :) Jeffyt 05-31-2002, 10:11 PM I use webmin here and there (if my eyes are hurting from ssh). I enjoy having everything laid out one click away (definitely use the no icon plain theme). The only pitfall I have found is that usermin will not work withour PAM::auth (or some such module), which I don't know how to install cleanly on Slackware yet. Regards, Jeff |
