Scenario: one of my larger clients has a popular site and wants to know if there is a way to track his advertising sales... right now he places the ads in PHPADSNEW and uses a spreadsheet to track the customer and sale...

Is there any type of program that can generate invoices and keep track of advertising sales... ?

I do the same thing and track sales on a spreadsheet.... would be nice to a have a scaled down CRM that tracks customers, and generates invoices for each sale... etc...

Depends how your customers are signing up really. If you have customers signing up through the website, then have a programmer make a new signup process where each person is added to a .cvs database for say, and then have a programmer create an invoice program for your end to load each signup automatically.

The company I work for has the same type of system, but more advanced, the cost was around $150,000, but a smaller one like I mentioned would only run you around $700-1,000

I think it is difficult to track actual sales as ROI of online advertising is significantly much higher than the tracked sales by any software.
