Hi, I am having problem with Plesk DNS. I am using Windows Plesk 7.6.0. The problem is when I add a new domain it add's (NS1.NewDomain.com) beside (NS1.MyNSDomain.com). I want to do it so when I add a new domain it adds (NS1.MyNSDomain.com) beside (NS1.Newdomain.com). How do I do it? Thanks

I have not used 7.6 yet, but in 7,5 you would go to server, dns, and then edit the template for DNS record creation.

I believe you can edit some thing on plesk itself, Doin manual work is not at all advisable and it is not a good solution

U can check the settings which you have given while creating the account... ?

The problem doesn't lie within NS1.Newdomain.com, but the actual A record directing it to the IP of the nameservers itself.

Here, I'll explain it in a way most likely easier for you to understand:
1) Click on 'Server' on the left panel
2) Click on the 'DNS' icon
3) Remove any current A records starting with ns1.<domain>. and ns2.<domain>.
4) Click on the 'Add new record' icon
5) Choose 'A' from the dropdown menu
6) Type in 'ns1' for the domain name
7) Enter the IP associated with ns1
8) Do this for any other nameservers you have

I don't believe there's a way to automatically add NS1.MyNSDomain.com.

Good luck,
Steve

Is it possible to cluster DNS with Windows Plesk?I'm not sure if it's possible with a regular version of Plesk, although I know it is if you use a feature such as Plesk Expand.

If you are planning to have centralized DNS you need to buy Plesk Expand and Plesk Centralized DNS.
