Is it possible to convert ASX windows media files to mp3? if so please point me in the direction of software capable of converting it.

asx file is a movie file right?
In fact it is a streaming movie if I am not wrong.

In this case you either use some sound recorded program while you are playing the file and encode the recorded file as an MP3.

You might wanna try holding your Mic to the speaker when playing the file. Just kidding....;-)

It is possible if you have the origenal file the asx links to.
ASX files are built like RAM's that way.
The program I use for that is called GoldWave.
Best freeware/demoware I've seen for this purpose.
May be something better out there for it, but I haven't seen it.
