If I try to use the quick search feature at the top of the page (next to profile in the menu) it does not work. It has been broken for a long time and I finally decided to post a thread about it. IT drives me nuts! IT works fine in firefox though.

Is it just this forum or most vBulletin search boxes do not work in Safari?

I just tried using the seach feature about ten minutes ago myself, and it was completely non-functional. It wouldn't return a single thread, even though I was looking at a thread with the title I was searching right in front of me.

I'm using Opera on a PC, if that matters, but it shouldn't. Search was working just fine (or at least working a little - I'm not a fan of vB search in the least!) until I tried it today.

The bug in safari is that the form is not even submitted, it just stays on the page and does not go to search.php

blasto333, myself and a few others have mentioned this a few times now but no official reply has ever been made as far as i know.

I can tell you the search feature blows chunks in VB3+

I have mi$$ed a couple threads on many vb3+ sites when they said they werent there when i searched for them (Resulting in a REPOST) :mad:

I think this is a separate iNet issue. WHT's database has to be mirrored now for a slave search server, and I imagine that if anything went down on the slave server our searches would be non-functional. We're going to have to let the ProSlacker come in and tell us whats up thought :).

I think problem is with the javascript and what not (seeing that users claim the form doesn't submit all together). So maybe the designer needs to check into compatibility issues :)
