I need to get notifications of various server related issues to my cell phone as an SMS message alert.

However, I have no idea how to do this.. from what I can see, my service provider does not have the "usual" email gateway into the sms system like 123434566@myprovider.com

I am using www.sfr.fr for my cell phone (in France), but since I don't read French it is impossible to decipher and figure this out.

Does anyone know of a service (pay or free) where I can send an email and it will send an SMS to my sfr.fr cell phone, so I can receive server notifications?

We use Clickatell (clickatell.com), not just for service/server notices to who ever is on call but for a lot of stuff.

They're cheap enough that we get SMSes when some one opens a ticket and it hasn't been read by an admin inside 10 mins, and also if the users opt to they can have the site send them an sms when we've updated thier ticket.

For most destenations its 1.5 credits, I've never had to send one for more than 3. And you buy the credits in bulk like 200 for £6 I think.

They have an API, thats what we use and also SMTP to SMS which is what you'll be after.
