Hello,

I heard that there are quite a few people that have experience with Aletiahosting.com. I would recommend the search button for a complete list. :)

Hi Kison -

I used them before. I was happy for a while, and then things started to go down hill. At that point I decided on my own hosting company, so I left them.

From what I've heard, they are doing ok these days, with a great deal less problems than before. I know from talking to them, they were always very nice.

I actually have heard good things about Aletia.

Write to Aletia's sales department and get a couple of thier customer sites and write to those web admins to see what they think.

I highly recommend using the search function here in the forum.
You will find tons of posts/threads, past, as well as current discussion.
Good Luck

Hi there,

I was with them about a year and then things went downhill.

In my first couple of months, my site had to be moved to a different server because the one it was on kept going down. No biggie. I'm easy to please.

About 3 weeks ago I left. I had been on a server that was up and down for over a month. Other servers were experiencing *days* of outages at a time.

I hear they're just now getting to those accounts that was on the server I was on.

Support-wise - they're pretty good. And when they're up, they're great.

I hope it was just a short rollercoaster ride for them but I just couldn't wait to find out if the downtime was going to stop.

I'm with Alexa at the moment (for 4 months), no problems at all and they are really helpful ;)

I did not have a long downtime also I surprised about the messages above cause generally Alexa is a very well known company

their CP is the state of the art

anyway go with them you will be happy you did :stickout

I am with Aletia right now...they had some major problems in the past few months, but things have gotten much better in the last time.
I think they are working hard on getting their old standard back.
I think that you will get a lot for your money :stickout

heyy

everything changes very quickly in this world !

so a host wihich was good 3 months ago may not be same today !!! so it is our right to ask their situation now

I simply hate people who say "search it"

True enough - things do change quickly!

My hosting is with Aletia, only problem I had was the server dying and having to be moved, of course I had done a major update right before and their backup was older than my site, so I restored my own site. Didn't like the downtime, over 1 day, but it can happen elsewhere as well.

All in all I've been pleased, lots of features for the price, and altho others had ticket problems a couple months back since then they answer and resolve most problems very quickly. There have been recent complaints about getting accounts set up quickly, that seems to be improving as well, then of course the pleased ones don't always turn up on the forums, so maybe it's only a few out of the total new accounts who've had problems, hard to say.

hth some....
