I'm trying to set up cgiemail (found at http://web.mit.edu/wwwdev/cgiemail/webmaster.html)

I am going crazy.

I untarred the files, ran ./configure, make. I renamed the files to .cgi. Everything seemed fine, but I get a 403 Forbidden error when I try to call the files through the browser.

Where do I go from there??


( I've already tried many different things in the last several hours, but I've been stabbing around in the dark and I don't think listing them would help at this point... not even sure if I could list them. ARRRRGGGG. )

Does anyone have a tip for setting this up?

Anyone know why I would get a 403 error in general? (This is a cgi script written in C ) Permissions appear to be right.

BTW, I have a RaQ4i.
