View Full Version : Control panel
DARIS 06-15-2006, 10:53 AM Hi ,
I have visited websites of Ensim and Ev1 as Iam shopping for new CP. After seeing their 50 features list , I thought i need to get an idea about it. Maybe this will be a place where i can get an unbiassed feedback.
Thanks in advance
Daris
DotNetPanel 06-15-2006, 11:21 AM Do you need Ensim for *nix or for Windows?
DARIS 06-15-2006, 11:30 AM Do you need Ensim for *nix or for Windows?
Not yet decided.....which CP I am going to buy....evaluating all..
However I am open to the suggestions..
Do you recommend anything?
thanks
Daris
DotNetPanel 06-15-2006, 11:59 AM First of all you need to decide if you need a Windows server or Linux one. Then you can start evaluating control panels. It does matter.
DARIS 06-15-2006, 01:30 PM Looking @ the security, reliability and efficiency point of view I will prefer to go with Linux.
Do you guys support Linux OS??
Thanks in advance.
DotNetPanel 06-15-2006, 03:15 PM At present our panel does not allow to manage Linux servers. So... now we can recommend to try out DirectAdmin panel for Linux servers.
budman714 06-15-2006, 03:38 PM I 100% recommend DirectAdmin(those guys are the best).
You can get this for $10/month from alot of companys
Ariel74 06-15-2006, 03:53 PM Another vote for DA. Fast and stable. For the end user, just as feature rich as any other CP.
Signature 06-16-2006, 05:59 AM This looks to me as a self promotion campaign from DA and dotnetpanel. Daris decide what you require and what you need....

DotNetPanel 06-16-2006, 07:49 AM Dear Signature,
1. How can it be our self-promotion if we recommend to buy other control panel?
2. At present you have 8 posts at WHT forum. And all of them are in "Hosting Software and Control Panels" section. And all the posts are seems to be quite meaningless, sorry.
Signature 06-16-2006, 07:59 AM Let me be meaningless.... thats the impact I have when I face competition. Anyways... when u promote other CP(not of yours) then u are representing which one you recommend. Thats what everybody will assume.
I could show an example of it. however, that post has been deleted.
Thanks,

Huh? I'm a (happy) end user of DA. I have no affiliation with them or any stake in their company. I could care less what panel some other hosting company decides to use, but I don't mind speaking about how DA has worked out for my business.
Signature 06-16-2006, 08:09 AM aahhh? so u got what i was trying to say....

What are you talking about? The OP wants a linux control panel and most people have recommended Direct Admin to him - what's wrong with that? DotNetPanel recommended DA - they don't even produce a panel for linux.
There are better ways to increase your post count :peace:
budman714 06-16-2006, 10:36 AM WHT is getting so crazy strict now a days.
Is there any other more relaxed webhosting forums?

budman714 06-16-2006, 10:49 AM Thanks Alot.

DARIS 06-22-2006, 07:07 AM Thanks to all.. to share the experiences and helping me to make the
decision of buying the control Panel.
Considering my requirements and the market scenario........ I guess I should try
the latest release of ensm......Ensim Pro X for Linux .
Hope it will work up to my expectations..
Daris.
DARIS 06-23-2006, 08:50 AM Any suggestions for Windows........other than DA...
i will appreciate it... if i could get it asap...
thanks..
Chachi 06-23-2006, 10:19 AM I thought you decided to buy a linux panel and went against everybody's recommendation of DA and chose Ensim.
Now you want a windows panel? What is it to be??
DotNetPanel 06-23-2006, 10:32 AM It seems, you need to hire a person who'll manage your server. And allow him/her to choose the OS and panel. It is going to be the best way.
