OK, I jsut want to get all this straight betwen a registration company and a hosting company. If I have a plan with CyberWings, I can have the domain registered somewhere else right?

So if I get a domain name, I can register it at godaddy.com and still have the website hosted by cyberwings? This is my first real website and It's a bit confusing.

Thanks,

Yes, there is no connection between whom you register your domain with and who hosts your website.

Most people would advice you to not let your host do the registration for you. Reason being if it goes pear shaped with that host he could make it difficult for you when you need to change the dns name severs, basically making the domain useless. I wouldnt imagine many hosts would do that but you never know some people.

Cyberwings will provide you with their nameservers. You will then have to log into your godaddy account and enter the nameservers for your domain.

Cyberwings and godaddy will provide more information on what to do and how to do it if you get lost :)
