Your post hasn't even been edited. Which means you realized that before you hit enter. Did you mean to start a new thread or not?

Well all I have to say is that we were with Interserver until the date came (sometime last year) where Pwebtech saved our lives :)

My bad...I had no idea. Do you know if phpBB has that same feature?

I have used/known interserver for more than a year too ... try archive.org, I believe you will see something about them for more than a year old.

cheers,

that'st the last update date for domain records. That doesn't mean the domain was registered on that date.

Interserver has been there for more then 2 year.

Also the domain interserver.net was registered on

Record created on 05-Apr-1999.

There support is not the best but not the worst as people claim. Some time they response blazingly fast and some times it takes them some time. But support has always been helpfull unlike many other hosts. I have some servers with them and whenever i had need emergency reboot i have got it fast. Also vdi.net have pager for reboots. I guess that should be working. So no problem with reboots.

Ahha, I rarely needed any support ;)

I must say it is rare to see such a nice post about interserver.net as this is not the norm from many previous posts. Like Synergy about a year ago I too was at interserver.net and their lack of support and the VDI network outages almost put us out of business. I moved to pewebtech.com and that saved us from extinction. They are fairly cheap but all I can say is you get what you pay for.

Things may have changed and I hope they have for the folks that are still left there. I also keep hearing rumors that VDI actually bought interserver.net, can anyone clear that up?

forgive me please Support 10/10? Please tell me you are joking :) Ive been overcharged $1200 by them twice, this last time happened 2 weeks ago and I have yet to get a response from ANYONE, by phone, email or icq/aim.

Their support is the WORST, they hardly ever respond to you, people never answering phone etc.

Ive been trying to cancel one of my servers with them also, getting no response, what a shocker!

I know that for a fact

I speak with enough people who are in concert with VDI or use to be closley tied to them.

Interserver from my understanding made a sizeable investment into VDI and thus they merged.... most of my information is not direct but I trust the source.

I know this information directly from both the owner of Interserver and VDI, so I can assure you that the above information is correct :) Congrats to Interserver/VDI.

Hello all, I just wanted to put in my 2¢. I was a customer with Interserver for a few months last year, when they went through some tough times (many, many outages). This forced me to find a new hosting provider.

Well, I finally received a response to all of my trouble tickets that I submitted over 9 months ago! Not what I would call quick turn on support. Things may be just fine at Interserver these days, but that was one of the main issues on why I could not rely on them as my dedicated host provider. Too much downtime and slow response time for support. I sure hope this is just a glitch, and I most certainly hope that they are still not relying on Trouble Tickets to handle support, because it did not work then, and it seems that it is still not working now.

i also received some 10-12 months old trouble tickets, i guess it is some kind of error with there script because the issue was closed 1 year before

Some client sent email to suport@trouble-free.net << instead of support@.. one of the admins re-queried the tickets and some got replied that were old.

We fixed that real quick,

I've had a handful of websites and sent many clients to Interserver and if a problem ever came up it was almost impossible to contact Interserver. They took down their message board shortly after I signed up with them probably because there was a lot of negative feedback on it and contacting them by phone I only got their voicemail. I had a dedicated server with them when my company first started and we started off with some fairly large clients and with all their downtime we had to refund these clients and send them elsewhere since we could not guarantee uptime because VDI's network was not reliable. Something like this could of ruined our company if it happened a few months later or if we would of never left. They have good rates for what you get but like someone said earlier you get what you pay for.
