Okay basically what I'm looking at is a way of having 'movies' so to speak on a monitor throughout a store, I'd LOVE for these to be linked via 802.11b but without a computer behind each one, this isn't very feasible, so idea #2. Are there any monitors that will play 'images' etc off a memory chip? Does this make sense?

How about buying a wireless Kiss box, I think there made in Copenhagen (Denmark) Essentially they are a dvd player with a built in wireless card, these can stream images / divx / mp3 / various other media off a "Host pc"

this would mean you would need one PC to store the images, after that you could stream to the tv.

Another option is to get a tv with a built in dvd player that supports jpg files, whap them on a disk and play it through there.

Those are about the two cheapest methods i can think of. Hope this helps a bit.
