Ok I purchased the hostgator "swamp" webhosting package. It included "Unlimited Domains" now by that does it mean I can register and domain(say I wanna register several domains and have multiple websites). I registered dvdpornmixtape.com , could I register unlimited more ?
I tried to do Addon domain but it souded like I couldnt register another website. (said something along the lines of check to see if this feature is available)
What Im thinking is when I try to register its only going to be subdomians, ie whatever.dvdpornmixtape.com.
If it is only subdomains; is there any package that allows me to register unlimited domians. (I plan on opening several websites)

you cant REGISTER unlimited domains.
"unlimited domains" means you can have unlimited domains hosted on your hosting account

If you wish to register domains, you have to pay the registration fee.
Ie: NameCheap charge $8.88 USD per domain. Therefore, if you wanted to register 10 domains, it would cost $88.8 USD.

h0tsh0t',
Just adding to what the above said:
You can still host unlimited addon domains though -- for example if you want to host:
abc.com and def.com along with asdasdasd.com all on the same account: Go for it! :)
That doesn't mean the above domains get registered for free though. There are fees associated with domain registrations that even Hostgator or any other provider on the planet can't make disappear.

thankyou for helping me understand. So I have to pay for it to be registered but hostgator will host it for me got it(which what I was thinking). I probably can get it registered through hostgator correct ? NameCheap sounds pretty good though grreat price :)

It means you can host as many domains as you like, you still have to pay to register other domains

Alright I registered on namecheap (worked out great around $15 bucs for 2 domains). I transfered DNS servers to hostgator. But when I was in control panel and added domain it was a sub-domain. blablah.mydomain.com . So If Im understanding correctly I have to sign up for another hosting package with hostgator for each domain I register :( ? When I purchased swamp package it said unlimited domains; I interperted that as, as along is I get them registered they will host them. mydomain2.com something like that ?

h0tsh0t,
The subdomain is only added for statistics logging purposes. The domain will function as any other domain would (www.yournewdomain.com and www.yourothernewdomain.com).
