Am I correct that if you get ensim or plesk you are then paying their license fees forever?
I am confused by what appears on their web sites versus what some of the dedicated hosts seem to say on theirs.
Sorry for so many questions.

Well, I think both offer one-time fees, however if you want the current version of the cp, you'll need to stay current with upgrades, and thus upgrade fees. So yes, and no.

You should also note that with most dedicated server companies, you are leasing a licence. You do not own it. Meaning, when you decide to leave that company, your license stays with them.
Just something to keep in mind.

When I bought my Ensim licence I did ask them about possible future upgrade fees, but I never received an answer, so I am curious to know how much it's gonna cost me to upgrade to LS 3.1...

Ensim reserves the right to charge a fee for upgrades.
That said.
The upgrade from WEBppliance Linux LS 3.0 to our 3.1 version
will be at no charge.

Excellent news Ken, you're my hero :D
And do note I never said anything about beeing against paying for upgrades. Development costs money and has to be payed somehow...
