View Full Version : Need new virtual hosting

Hello,

I'm looking for some advice. Currently we have a virtual hosting account with Interland. Unfortunately they have discontinued the package we are currently using. They are still supposedly "supporting" our package but we not allowed to add any more users. So what I'm looking for is some advice on where to get a new host. We would like to use virtual hosting again so that we can add many sites to one account (I don't think we can afford a dedicated server yet). We would also like the host to be in Canada if possible. Anyone have any ideas?

I might suggest you also post this in the Requests forum so that hosts may "legally" respond.

Host can 'legally' respond here. Please do not suggest that people post in the Requests Forum when they're clearly not looking looking to get offers from hosts here.

Merely trying to be helpful, as others have been with new posters along these lines.

I read this post differently than you did. Apparently some here are allowed their interpretations without intervention while others are not.

At any rate, I'm honored to have been CDS'ed. It's been a long while. :D

its a good idea to state what kind of virtual hosting you need,

e.g space bandwidth so people can start making suggestions.

Also it would be a good idea if tell us some specific needs you might need e.g control panel, asp, cold fusion etc.

You will get a far better response and better answers at that too.

Good luck and kind regards,

Yes indeed. I think you would get a lot more recommendations if you also included what sort of features you are looking for in a hosting package, because there are literally thousands of packages and hosts on offer, and without knowing approximtely what sort of plan you are looking for it's difficult to recommend anything. :)
