Couldnt you just make a shared account for yourself inside the reseller? How many domains are you looking to host? Diskspace / Bandwidth? Control Panel - Plesk / Helm? DC- UK or US? I agree. You would also like to keep the word "cheap" out of your requirments, as you will end up with this sometimes and might end up right back here posting a negative review on the company you choose to sign up with. ldcdc 06-11-2006, 09:22 PM Since we're entering the realm of philosophy, I must make reference to reality (or logic). Even assuming that "good and fast" can't also be "cheap", it doesn't mean that "non cheap" is necessarily "good and fast". Further more, the OP states he needs "cheap and good", which according to the stated axiom, is perfectly possible. Certainly, "good" might include "fast" in some people's mind, and one of those people might be the OP. In any case, all of these terms are highly subjective, requiring (as noted above) further input from the OP. CyberHostPro 06-12-2006, 03:41 AM You have three choices: Cheap, good and fast. Liam - OxyUK 06-12-2006, 04:01 AM I'd look for 'business critial' hosting.. its a new concept and many hosts cut the number of accounts per server, offer more reliable uplinks, and ensure they have sufficient technologies in place to handle problems... plus they're support will be reliable and effective. I'd suggest you find a company who are well known, but offer 'cost-effective' packages, and not 'cheap' because all of these hosts who can offer you '10Gb+' on a shared account are simply overselling, or have about 20 HDD fitted on one machine often with about 2-4Gb of RAM, and dual processing power. Something which you and your visitors will suffer from. It's worth paying that little extra so you avoid the troubles... a good shared account can go for about $10/month in my opinion, look at the companies who offer 1 package with a crazy amount of diskspace and your just looking into hosting hell! Goodluck! |
