Folks,

After a month or two of reading, I am still without a shopping cart. I am not necessarily looking for a free one, but can't spend more than 200-300 USD. My question is this: forget features and looks, which is most secure? Or if you know one is not secure, please mention.

The ones I am looking at:

cubecart
cs-cart
zen-cart
x-cart/litecommerce
creloaded

perl:
clickcartpro

Please suggest others not mentioned above, if you know them to have a good history as far as security.

The quick answer? None.

Security for any shopping cart can be defeated. Sure, some will be defeated easier then others... but nothing is 100% secure. What you could do is take the names you have now and do a search on http://www.packetstormsecurity.org or http://www.securityfocus.com and see how many advisories were reported.
