even funnier thing is, I found an email account webmaster@modernbill.com on their web site and asked them to take a look at the ticket but that email doesn't exist on their server.... (user known)...

I'm sure they are very very far from going out of business. Why don't you try another ticket or their support forums? :) Won't get much support from them here.

Hi there, I signed up for modernbill a few weeks ago and haven't had any problems getting replies to tickets, and a friend who signed up a few days ago is also getting replies within a few hours.
Did you log the ticket through their helpdesk or email it in?

Yes, Modernbill is far from going down, they reply to my tickets fairly quick. Just try again :)

You may want to try re-submitting a new ticket to them and make reference to the previous one and see if they respond to that.
Also - I know this may be a dumb question - but do you have a current active license with them?
I once requested to transfer ownership of a modernbill licence. Its been about a year and a half and they haven't replied to the ticket.

I think the biggest issue with modernbill is their refusal to maintain the v4 series code.

I think the biggest issue with modernbill is their refusal to maintain the v4 series code.
This is mostly because they don't have the staff and do not want to invest in it at the time.
