Does ne1 know whats wrong? No t a good start :( mwatkins 05-28-2002, 11:50 PM That would make me walk away. At any rate, they appear to be back up and running. No, correction, their machine is reachable, but httpd is not running. Walking yet? Choppy 05-29-2002, 12:01 AM We are doing some upgrades, DNS and name servers. And some other small things on this box - This is not the reseller boxs but just the shared box. If Our reseller boxs where down you would here about it eheh. As the new ips dig into the nameservers we might get some blinks here and there for today! Thanks for the vote of confidence mwatkins ;) Kind regards, webmatrixser 05-29-2002, 12:08 AM I can confirm that surrenderonline reseller acount dont have downtime today, i have an acount with them since 2 week and the service is verry good. They respond the same day(same hour) to my email and answer all of my technical questions. freehtml 05-29-2002, 12:21 AM Had signed up with them yesterday and now waiting for the DNS to be propagated. Well so far so good . :D mwatkins 05-29-2002, 12:22 AM Originally posted by Choppy We are doing some upgrades, DNS and name servers. Oh, ok, you only inconvenience your shared customers. That's ok then! :D Thanks for the vote of confidence mwatkins ;) Its been a bad couple days for hosting companies, so possibly my comment might be tempered in other times. But just the same, my comment still stands, and is perfectly sensible and valid. If I was looking to sign up a new account, I would WALK AWAY if the vendor's own site was down; if their on-line order and payment system failed; if I could not find all the information I need to make a decision. If I was an existing customer, I would not be so quick to judgement. But in sales, first impressions and followup are critical. Agree or disagree, up to you. Choppy 05-29-2002, 12:32 AM The shared customers were not inconvenienced in any way they have been informed already! I see your point but mwatkins... At the same time what you said is true but in order to get this site backed/mirrored to another server we have to have these little glitches today. It was unlucky for us for this to happen while a customer was signing up and we do apologise! Im sure Koreaman understands! Thank you for your time, mwatkins 05-29-2002, 12:52 AM I understand completely and if you notified your shared customers in advance, terrific. I was just pointing out my own rationale for walking away from an offer. I think it makes sense. I guess I'm a rare customer - I'm quite happy to pay more for reliability, and the last thing I want to see when starting up a new relationship is downtime. Yours or mine. Choppy 05-29-2002, 01:07 AM Thank you very much in future we will do everything possible to keep our site up. Kind regards, |
