Q: Can I change the OS or other OS options on a "Rapid Deploy!" host.
A: NO. All hosts are pre-loaded with a configuration that many users
find to work great for all types of hosting platforms. ANY changes to
the OS will change the order to a 'Custom Order' and have a 72 hour turn
around time.

Q: Can you install a control panel on a rapid deploy host.
A: Yes. Depending on the OS support for the control panel. This will
delay the deployment time a few hours to allow for installation of the
control panel software and licensing.

Q: Where are your Data Centers?
A: We have 12,000 SQFT of cages at Savvis IDC in Fort Worth Texas with multiple gigabit uplinks to their international backbone.

Our second facility includes 21,000 SQFT of cages at Databank in downtown Dallas Texas with a blended, currently 4 carrier mix. (Savvis, Sprint, Time Warner, Broadwing). What does it mean no swapping of hardware not allowed? Does that mean we can't upgrade hardware?

You can gladly upgrade any package - the "no swapping of any hardware" means that on these specials you cannot swap - i.e. 160GB with 2 x 80GB etc.

what did you mean **Bundled Windows 2003 Server Packages? are you offering with FREE windows 2003 Server Standard Edition also? if yes, which one.

Connect the hard disk to 80G ?
Port Speed 10M?

The hard drive is suppose to be a 160GB SATA drive. I see the error on the order form and as it shows a 80GB it will be corrected to display the 160GB as it was posted.

The port speed is 10Mbps base and can be upgraded to 100Mbps for $10 month.

Forgive my ignorance - but surely if the port speed is 10MB and you are offering 20Mbps Unmetered - does that not equate to the lowest denominator and therefore mean you are only going to get 10Mbps unmetered.

It has been a long day and I might not be reading it correctly - but thats what it means to me.

Cpanel + Fantastico = $25.00 per month
Cpanel + Fantastico + RVSkin = $28.00 per month

Both should be available as drop down options on the order form or can be ordered during the sales process.

SATA is already on these hosts as you acknowledged.

The additional IP's can be purchased in blocks of 8/16/32/64 with proper ARIN justification after the host has been deployed.

I am sorry I do not have an answer for the payment methods. If you contact sales@ layeredtech.com directly they will be able to get you the information your requesting on the payment options. IIRC we do offer both methods but I am not 100% sure.

I would stick with the 32bit (i386) release for now with Cpanel. CentOS 4.x x86_64 + Cpanel has been problematic for us in the past and we do not currently offer it on hosts together.

To maximize performance benefits of RAID 1, independent disk controllers are recommended, one for each disk. Some refer to this practice as splitting or duplexing.
Does your raid setup support this?

One more question, are the SATA drives SATA II (3.0 Gb/s) and 10k RPM?
