What are your rates for PHP/MySQL development? I may have a project coming up shortly.

I usually don't operate with rates, as I usually operate with a fixed price for the entire project, but I am sure I can give you a rate or a suggestion as soon as you tell me more about the project.

Ok, how about a ballpark on a hypothetical member manager, for example.
Needs the usual data collected: name, address, etc. In addition, they all come from an area of the state, so it needs to have city, which relates to the county it's in, which is related to the region as well (one state only, will provide details). They also sell products that would need to be categorized, so that I can assign categories (as keywords, perhaps) as they are entered or edited via dropdown (or checkbox, as long as they can be dynamically created from the db in the edit/add form), multiple selections allowed.

All searchable (name, category, region, city, etc), and able to display on a page in tables, two columns, expanding to more rows (TR) when there are lots of results. This display should be able to be dropped into any page.
This is a sample project, so please don't spend a lot of time working out how, just offer a ballpark estimate of cost and turnaround, please.

As I don't know if you would need any additional features, like administration section and so on, I can merely give an estimate based upon the actual project you have told me about.

For a project like this, I would estimate around $90-140. Does this sound reasonable?

Do you feel a script that manages members would be useful without a way to manage them, as in a simple admin section (add, edit, delete)? You also hadn't mentioned the potential time it might take to develop something like this. A 'ballpark' estimate is fine.

Do you have any examples of previous work?

I am sending you a PM with the examples of my previous work.
