Actually, I'm quite happy with X-Cart, but I would like to buy a better shopping cart up to $2000.
Because it's a lot of money, I need advices. Can you help me please?

Sometimes the free ones are the best! What I have in mind is osCommerce. Has thousands of modules and contributions, the best support I've ever seen (via other osCommerce users in the forums) and is extremely easy to use and customize. Not just is it free, but it is open source so you can do anything you want with it! Ok, now I feel like a salesman for a free product. LOL. Anyways, thats just my two cents.

From our experience osCommerce is quite difficult to customize. To customize osCommerce you need to learn PHP at first. Even with PHP experience there will be difficulties with integration. And very often it is difficult to support ecommerce store. For example, if you change design of your web site you need to change PHP code in the osCommerce software.

True, I guess it's cause I know PHP and have been working with osCommerce for a while now. But the way I learned was by asking in the osCommerce forums which gets responses immediately almost every time. You must say that's true, right?

Can you specify what you mean by "better"?

I am pretty sure that when he says "better" he means better than X-Cart which he currently uses.

Lol... X-cart is quite a comprehensive system with many features already built in, I was just trying to ascertain what specific things need to be better :)
