Thanks, Andrew apollo 05-28-2002, 08:51 AM Hello there, well not a bad choice but are you sure you have the right budget for it? Andyc 05-28-2002, 09:26 AM Though my budget is limited I do have the funds to get a showcase there and another place. I am just trying to use that ad money as efficiently as possible. I would love some suggestions. Some of those sites don't work :) From what I heard - HostSearch.com are quite good if you have the budget. viGeek 05-29-2002, 06:30 PM Some of the domain extensions may be incorrect. Some may .net, etc. I will post a list of about 20 sometime tonight. Andyc 05-29-2002, 07:41 PM Well, I decided to see what would happen with hostsearch.com. They gave me a really good deal so hopefully it was well worth it. I will tell you in a month. nba2003 05-30-2002, 03:44 AM looking forward to your good news Tommy 05-30-2002, 05:52 AM Originally posted by Andyc I will tell you in a month. In a months time you will know the CTR or number of clicks but how are you planning to measure the number of sales you got from HostSearch? It could take up to three months for a visitor to your site to buy a hosting plan and trying to track them can be difficult without complex software. Tools like HitBox Commerce and Web Trends Live can help you understand the buying patterns of your visitors. Not everyone will buy on the first time visit. If however you are only running one advertising campaign it will be easier to notice the increase of sales. When you start running several campaigns across different sites how will you know which ones to keep and which ones to cut? The ones with more clicks or the ones with more converted sales? These are questions ad buyers have to deal with all the time, I'm interested in what your opinions. k6cheung 05-30-2002, 06:27 AM Originally posted by Tommy It could take up to three months for a visitor to your site to buy a hosting plan and trying to track them can be difficult without complex software. Easy! When a user first visit your site, set a cookie with the value equals to the referrer. On your sign up form. send along the referrer cookie. ;) The only catch is if he use ANOTHER browser or PC to make the purchase...but it's better than no Info. nba2003 05-30-2002, 02:20 PM Originally posted by k6cheung Easy!
