View Full Version : CPANEL HOSTS ONLY: What skin do you use?

I'd like to know which CPanel skins are the most popular. Specifically, if there is ONE skin you offer as your "main skin" (i.e. for your demo CPanel login, or any screenshots or tutorials you show on your website), which is it?

I've tried to come up with suggestions..... but it's difficult because I don't even know what all the available choices are. So far from searching WHT I've found:

x/x2 (default)
CPanelXP
RVskin.com (several skins available in 1 package)
CPskins.com (several individual skins offered)

Are there others? I'd like to get as many "readily available" CPanel skins listed as possible. By "readily available", I'm not interested in skins that people build only for their own use. I'm only interested in skins that anyone can either get for free, or buy.

So if anyone can start this list, that would be great. Once we have a list, I'll include them in a poll so people can vote for the skin they use.

RVSkin, otherwise Bluelagoon...

Anything organized. The hodge-podge of X drives me absolutely mad! LOL :)

Bluelagoon

Can't beat the easy to read layout.

RVSkin, of course :peace:
Multi theme, multi language, multi just about everything.
Graphical or fast loading txt based too.
Integrates with just about everything but the kitchen sink.

Rvskins LightBlue. I like the compressed text look and not the icons.

Cpskins is good too, but Rvskins usually comes with all the cpanels and I don't want to spend extra for about the same thing.

Hear that !!

Make it the default on all plans. Once we did we never got another ticket asking, "Why does it take my cPanel so long to load?"

to me, x will always be a default. its just the most common and i dont belive changing it is going to increase any customer attractions, but its set up that they can change there themes.

If i customize them, i only customize clients and not resellers. Resllers want to feel indipendent, and dont want their clients to know where they buy from.

Thanks all for the input.... If I've counted right, so far we have:

3 - x/x2
2 - RVskin
2 - RVlightblue
2 - bluelagoon

Surprising there are no votes for other skins from other skin producers.

I'm a fan of bluelagoon myself. X is all jumbled and just confusing, It's much more organized and easier for the clients to find what they're looking for, cutting down on the "where do I go to do [insert action]?" type of questions that can clog the support desk.

Cpanel X skin
XPSkin

never got used to the overcluttered RVskin(s) - even though they came free with some servers.

We offer Xcontroller as the default skin on our servers. We find that it is clean and easy to use for non-technical clients. Since switching to it, we have virtually no support requests concerning the control panel.

We currently offer Cpanel XP as my companies default skin. New users like it because it is pretty and simple, however regular or advanced users tend to dislike it because they can't find stuff if it's not listed right on the main page.

I'm debating going back to the X skin or designing my own custom theme when we next restructure our plans.

Change my vote of RVLightBlue please -- I said RVSkins meaning just in general, but our default skin is actually RVLightBlue. :)

I use my own skins. Basically just an organized layout with a few variations for different purposes, and a bit of extra instructions on some of the features.

So far the count is as follows:

5 - x/x2
3 - bluelagoon
3 - rvlightblue
2 - CPanelXP
1 - rvblue
1 - Xcontroller
----
15 total votes

Thanks for all the input guys! So far it seems more than half use one of the free skins (x/x2 or bluelagoon).

We let them pick and default is "rvlightblue" though I prefer the green personally.
