Hi, I'm looking for an opne-source/free software for CSCW. (online collaboration)

I've used bscw http://bscw.gmd.de and I like it very much.

I just found http://www.phpcollab.com and it seems nice

Do you have other softwares like this??

Thanks,

Marco

Anyone tried phpcollab or phprojekt? How about some of these classroom-oriented collaberation software such as moodle, claroline, or classweb?

We are using phpcollab. It is a great application for web related workgroup activities. The install is very easy and only took a matter of minutes.

Why don't you just use CVS?

MS SharePoint

www.phpgroupware.com

CVS requires knowledge of commands or substandard GUI alternatives.

IMAP works for sharing info very well..

what exactly do the people need to do? collaborate on what? do they need to communicate freely? (setup jabber servers) etc. .
