you need to watch the online seminar and then answer the questions.
Well I don't have 3hrs time to do this and I don't know nothing about Microsoft Windows® 2000 Advanced Server so I was thinking if you know the answers to the questions (multiple choice btw) then do me a favour and post them here. You need to post the question too.
That way I ( and you ) can get a free license, which I will use for a dedicated server!

kwimberl 05-27-2002, 11:24 PM I think the point ... just maybe ... could be that you should KNOW something about win2k adv server before you advertise as a Microsoft Web Host.
While I am an MCP, I know enough to know I like my linux boxes. :)
Rochen 05-27-2002, 11:39 PM May I just point one small flaw in your plan out. You must be hosting a minimum of 20 sites on Windows servers before you qualify.
After you pass the test section they will ask you to enter 20 URLs of sites you host and then ask you for the name servers of those 20 sites (they all must be the same and under your control).
Hostlead 05-27-2002, 11:40 PM well I need the license to put it on a dedicated server I'd rent.. the tech guys would install it etc.!
ADEhost 05-27-2002, 11:41 PM Well being the person I am, I find that your request is intolerable to the to clients that might host with you. As a windows host ( and most likely for the others ) I have to be be Microsoft Certified otherwise my clients and there demands would leave me weeks behind. Plus you constantly are reading up on all the BS from M$.
I hope your clients don't find out that you are not qualified to manage the server.

Rochen 05-27-2002, 11:46 PM It is 25 full domains not 20. My mistake.
Also read this
I am a full-time employee of the company I've specified on the Application in the field titled "Full Company Name"; and
I have successfully completed the Microsoft® Windows® Web Hoster Program Qualifying Exam, and
My company presently offers Web hosting services on a commercial basis, and is presently hosting a minimum of twenty five (25) registered, primary URL domains
Note the word I have highlighted . If you get people to tell you all the answers then you haven't "successfully completed the Microsoft® Windows® Web Hoster Program Qualifying Exam" someone else has. Therefore you are in violation of the "Windows Web Hoster Program Program Terms and Conditions"

Hostlead 05-27-2002, 11:46 PM I'm not the one doing the tech work.

any way I look at it, your tring to take food from any windows host. Not a good thing. better that you let a person like Rochen or myself take the business and offer you a commision.

Hostlead 05-28-2002, 12:37 AM blah fine!
I don't think I'll die if I watch the 3hr seminar

No, it's been all over this forum for a while ( 3 to 6 months )
plus there are new insentives that came out last week for people that are developers, 10K packages that are discounted alot.

EnigmaBiz 05-28-2002, 01:16 AM I had to read the darn thread twice before I got it... So M$ is giving out free lic# for adv. server just for watching 3 hours of etc...
Expensive... but what this guy is asking is sort of... hei go to school for me.. but I get the degree.
Strange... very strange... I have the option to use Win2k Server and Adv. but I would preffer RH or FreeBSD.
Rochen 05-28-2002, 11:29 AM Remember you may get the advanced server free but you have still got all the other hardware, software and management costs on top of that. So it may sound free but by the time you add on SQL server etc. it may not sound so cheap. As Mike said there are some very interesting new incentives out :) If you want to keep up to date on all this stuff then subscribe to the service providers newsletter.

you saw the 395.00 package also hu ?
but the sad thing is that it is designed for developers end and not the server/hosting end
also did you click the link for cal rates, OH MY, the unlimitted server versions were at many thounsand ... back to the wholesaler I go for the web servers ( but I'm going to get the developers package )
Mike
I remember going to the local college and getting XP and Wind2k server for free after sitting through a 2 hour presentation. Not sure what their purposes was, other than to get you hyped about M$ products.
