I have been contacted by a bank that would like to have their first web page designed.

There would not be much backend work needed, but a SSL installed and a complete original design. I have my list of usual suspects that I normally farm out to, but due to the risk assessment that would need to be passed; I thought I would see if there is someone that would want this job for a small referral fee if hired.

As I said, it is for a bank. Here is what you would need, besides design skills:

"As far as our risk assessment requirements with the vendor, we would like to review a Dunn and Bradstreet report, financial information, references, copies of websites you have designed. Any information we can ‘meet’ you and feel confident of the company’s strength. We would also ask you to sign a confidentiality agreement, which I’m sure is no problem to you."

They are looking for about 20 pages, all of them original to them. They will supply pictures and text to use.

I won't say that this will be a 5 figure job, but it is potential to not only be a large sum, but also potential down the road for a service contract (they will be changing stuff periodically) as well as eventually doing a full fledged site with all bank end work completed by the designer that gets this job.

So, if you can meet the risk assessment, then please PM me with your offer. Nothing will be paid to me unless you are granted the project.

Thanks...

Thank you to the replys I have received so far. For those of you interested in this. PLEASE READ THE ABOVE INFO. If you cannot pass the risk assessment that is required that the bank perform from the banking governing bodies, please do not throw your hat into the ring.

They will do their due dilligence.

review a Dunn and Bradstreet report, financial information

The only way a designer is going to have a D&B report and financials published is if they are publically traded. As most design firms (especially on the forums it seems) are either partnerships, sole proprietorships, privately held corporations or independant contractors, this information just is not going to be available for 90+% of the designer market.

Wether true or not, just thought I would give back to the community I have been a member of for years. Not quite sure why you made you post, does not really help the situation.
