how many incomplete orders are your company receiving daily?

I receive a lot, 3-5 times more than complete orders. I dont know why people not completing their orders. I use 2checkout. May be that is it? Do i need my own payment gateway? I am using WHM autopilot. Maybe that is it? People dont like the order system?

Also what do you do with the incomplete orders? Do you follow up by contacting the people?

Thanks,

I also get around 5 fake orders a day, but they're all from bots, all weird info filled in & links in the comments area, really annoying.

I receive around 2 per day.
If that fake orders came from the same IP, I usually just banned that IP for certain of time.

IMO, most of incomplete orders is from people which just curious to see what steps that your system produce. They just learn about the flow proces and interface page of the orders produce.

Ah those I also get. I think some people just wonna know how much it costs in total & then they place an order to have an overview of it. Most people pay though, however there are some that only place an order & don't let anything know anymore.

Have you tried contacting the "customers" to see why?It can actually be really helpful to you as to why people don't signup. There might be an issue on your site you aren't aware of

We get these from time to time... mostly, I assume it's just some fraudster checking to see if we just blindly set up new accounts, even without payment.

I tried to be the nice guy once, emailed and worked with the guy to pay, and then he went and sent spam.

So now, no pay == no stay. They have 24 hours from when they sign up to complete payment, and if it's not paid by then, I simply remove it from the system. Sure, not everyone is going to spam, but once bitten, twice shy, and all that.

Though we may get some legitimate accidential orders now with our new order page. It's one of the good old tried and true three stepers, which I don't think many people would expect in this industry. :)

I generally send out an invoice reminder via email (before setting up the account, of course). Sometimes the client just doesn't realize there are additional steps needed to actually submit the payment. By sending the invoice again, with instructions on how to pay, we pick up about 50% of the initial non-payers.

Maybe I'll give it a shot agaim, but buy, that first time left a bad taste in my mouth about it all. I say: If yhey can't see the paypal / 2checkout link on the checkout page... wait, that's rude. :D

If I get an incomplete order I send an email asking why and whether they had any problems during the signup etc, it usually is people like seeing how the billing system works, they sign up with their "dream account" in a way
