I've just signed up for an accout with ChatCircuit. Their support is very good. Lazz is very helpful and friendly and I'm sure you'll be happy with them. He is an honest guy that won't rob your wallet. His prices are extremely competitive and the servers are fast :D

Though no hosting experience with them, I'd 2nd the ChatCircuit suggestion; and that's from what I've read here in the last several months, and also a kind offer that he made, and as the other poster stated, in business for 7 years... that's hard to find in the hosting business. Cadenet appears to spam the ad forums requests section with the same copy no matter what the request, so I wouldn't consider that one. My 2nd choice would be Surrender Online.

while I don't know about chatcircuit, I have an account with P7 and I could not be happier.
Sean and his team are very helpful and their website is unlike anything out there. very good support time and very patient with my newbie questions (some of which were so stupid I am ashamed to have asked them)

big thumbs up to P7

When selecting among inepexpensive shared hosting services you can do all the technical analysis you want, but it is essentially a shot in the dark when it comes to determining if they can deliver what they offer on paper. I went with AlwaysWebHosting not only because of a few attractive features in their package(s), but primarily because they host a public forum, which is rare among hosts, whether large or small. It was pretty clear that they are delivering and probably will continue to do so for quite a while. I found even better looking bargains elsewhere, but short of a lot of detective work (calling them, sending emails) you can't really assess the service level. Check out Always's forum...

Always Forum (http://forums.alwayswebhosting.com/)

Ronnie and the Always crew have been very responsive to my inquiries as well.

Thanks for the info. I've always read good things about Always. They sound like good people. However, many hosts have forums. What gets me, is those hosts that block the viewing of certain forums unless you are a customer. It looks like they have something to hide, and I just back out and forget that host.

It's not that the host is operating a shady business, rather protecting their clients from the public who don't wish to be disclosed, especially if the client is a reseller.

<Slaps self on the head> Thanks Norm, I never thought of that; but even so, why would people care? They can still be anonymous with their forum nicks, just like people are here.
