For sale here and on sitepoint.com, current high bid on SP is 2300. SitePoint Link (http://www.sitepoint.com/forums/showthread.php?t=386347).

URL: www.savetoby.com

Age of site (months): 16

Current High Bid: 2300

Monthly revenue: Site Average: over 3000$/mo, last 7 months without ad network: 230$+

I will try and give you an idea how it's derived. The last few months of cafepress data have yielded an average of over 200$ per month in revenue. The average value of the last 13 checks has been 2,111$. With a one month check that exceeded $10,000 about 1 year ago. After that period, the creators ceased marketing and consequently, revenue went down significantly. The last full month of an ad network running on the site, (fastclick), which also took place over a month after the most recent update, yielded a check amount of 282.54. Total net income to the creators has exceeded 50,000 USD in the last 16 months. The book sales have also yielded income to the creators exceeding 5200$ on over 160,000$ total revenue for the 4 month period September, October, November, December of 2005.

Revenue details:
Revenue is currently only derived from Cafepress.com (to which you will retain the rights to the account). At current traffic levels, this revenue ranges from 120-250$ / month. However, the site has not been updated in some time, and an update generally yields a large large increase in traffic.

Both Cafepress and Ad revenue were in the xx,xxx last year and could reach these levels with frequent updates. There is no ad network campaign set up with the site, although the owner previously used fastclick.com and earned up to x,xxx per month. The total revenue generated by the site, although not all gained by the owners, exceeded $300,000 USD last year alone.

The site also makes revenue for a nationally published book, to which you will recieve 1/2 of the revenue shared to the authors. As of the last payment period, the book has sold over 16,000 copies yielding over 5,000$ in extra revenue.

Monthly page views: 400,000

Traffic details:
Traffic has been constant for the last 8 - 10 months, which has demonstrated the staying power of this PR6, heavily back linked site. The traffic does fluctuate between 35,000 and 65,000 uniques a month, but there seems to be no significant downtrend in the data over the last 8 months, and I'm quite sure that the traffic would rise significantly with frequent updates.

Description:
The site is an internationally known site that has been featured in the Washington Post, NBC Nightly News with Brian Williams, hundreds of radio programs and news stations around the US, the United Kingdom and elsewhere. The site has also has a book, published by Kensington Publishing NY, NY the 7th largest national retailer of books nationwide. The book can be found at most Barnes & Noble, Borders, Waldenbooks, etc. and is published under the co-authors of the websites first name, James and Brian. The book is also available for sale on Amazon.com. The site also has over 25,000 unique emails from visitors, including thousands upon thousands of fan and hate mail items. You will retain the rights to those, all rights to the website, and will be able to keep the website on my dedicated server for free for the first 2 months, and a negotiated fee after that. After which point, if we can not negotiate a price, then you are welcome to move the site elsewhere. This site has 38,000 pages that contain the term savetoby.com and all of the pages on the site are indexed by google. It can be used easily to jump start a new site with redirects or pop unders, or for a constant revenue stream. I will likely end this auction in 5 business days. I'm not the creator of the site, only a third party selling the site for the creators, so please do not contact me asking for their personal information. I will provide any information necessary to conduct a transaction, and am happy to speak via cell phone or other means to any interested parties. You may contact me via AOL instant messenger at savetobysale at most periods of the day if you have any further questions, otherwise you can send me a PM. Please, serious bidders only and I would appreciate it if everyone kept replies limited to bids or serious questions.

Type of site:
Established and functional website with traffic

Also Included in the auction:

I can also provide about 5 gigabytes of 8mp pictures of the bunny with the auction, these pictures were taken for the book, but can be used in subsequent updates of the site at the winner's disposal. Any updates generally result in a spike in traffic and consequently more revenue from item sales.

After that period, the creators ceased marketing and consequently, revenue went down significantly.
Please explain what you mean by "the creators"? Are you selling this domain that you own, or for someone else?

In addition, as this is an auction, you need to state a starting price that's in line with the current bid(s), and have an ending date clearly posted.
Rules regarding auctions:

Auctions must be conducted under the following guidelines.

If you are selling:

1. If you have a reserve, start the bidding at your reserved price.
2. Clearly post an end date and time.
3. State accepted payment methods.
4. If an auction is not exclusive to WHT, you must display the URL(s) within the thread.
5. End the auction at the end date and time you stated. Or when the "Buy It Now" price is reached, if you listed one.
6. Transfer ownership to the winner.
