I tried with and without quotes to search for an "exact match". I'm looking for mention of a certain term matched exactly, but instead I get lots of related threads, with a variant of what I'm looking for.
Again, how do I do an exact match search?
Have you tried boolean?

I'm searching for a domain name, so there's nothing to join together.
Perhaps if you left off the .tld portion it would return better results? (.com .net, etc...)
It's likely finding that as well as the name.

Again, is there a way to do an exact match? I don't need advice on how to get a closer match, but how to search and find an exact match.

Not that I don't appreciate the effort, bear.

You're not going to get an "exact" match, it's a documented (http://www.webhostingtalk.com/showthread.php?t=515949) problem, unfortunately, it's one that is being investigated.
Like bear said, your best bet is to just search without the domain name.
