I've been wondering, which pays better? Does Yahoo! pay more then Google or is it just the opposite? Let me know what you people know (not think!)

Google dominates the "grassroots" advertising market. Yahoo is involved in some pretty major advertising deals, too, such as the one recently signed with eBay, but these are mostly corporate and for bigger sites.

Well it all depends on what kind of site you run to decide which pays better.

So, which pays more? The thing I hate Yahoo & Google ad network is that they just have text ads, never any colorful flash ads or anything. What woud you say about FastClick(.com)?

What are you talking about? Google runs image advertisements and they recently added Video ads. I think text ads do MUCH better than image ads, people have "ad blinders" for image ads, IMO.

I'm listed with Yahoo.com under the directory. I get a few hits there about every day. I also use Google Adwords and I believe I am also listed with Google's directory too. I don't check out my satistics often enough to see where exactly each client comes from and they rarely checkmark anything on the optional "where'd you come from" question on my form. Any link in the right place is worth putting there, in my opinion.

Google ads are more targeted for my site (college education). It pays much more than Yahoo.

Google is big brother more organized and professional, I dont think yahoo is getting that much number of clicks from visitors as compared to google to get enable the webmaster to see a real difference in their earnings. :erm:

I see. Well, where could I get rich graphical advertisments (flash, pop-outs, streamed, etc.)? I heard fastclick.com has plenty of those but they never seem to accept me. Is there a trick behind it?
