Somethign I've always wondered: at this stage in the nets development, how much, on average, would the following "classes" of domains be worth?

- 2 Letter Domains
- 3 Letter Domains
- 4 Letter Domains
- 5 Letter Domains
(alas, IANA took away the possibility of the one-letter domain :-) )

Good food-for-thought. Any ideas?

Depends on the TLD. 2 letter .com domains are very expensive. There's a price guide on 3 character domains here: http://www.3character.com/priceguide.html. Note that those are the minimum wholesale value, meaning if you find an end user, you can sell for much more. Generally, 4 or 5 letter domains aren't anything special undeveloped at this point.

There are still many 4 letter .com's available and plenty of 5 letter ones.

At this point, there's much more dropping 4-char .coms than registered new... All good ones are taken, anyway...
