I have been using Paypal for 6 weeks now and I am generating about 800$ Per month from it. I have had one person who hasnt been able to purchase one of my services because of Paypal complications.

At what point did you decide you will include somethign like 2Checkout into your site?

Also,

How do you guys do it? Do you have your own SSL certificate and the processing is done on your site? This is what i want to do, I dont if I include a credit card payment method I dont want them to have to leave my site to do it. Is this more expensive? Whats that called by the way, is it like Gateway payments or something like that?

I just dont know when I am 'successfulll' enough to move to an alternative payment choice.

So you gotta ask yourself, how many people didn't buy because of PayPal?

You will never know until you cut the cord and make your own destiny!

We started with normal bank transfer at first, then we went to Paypal & then to accept credit cards (2CO). Why? Not every person is able to do bank transfers, especially from USA to Belgium, it's way too expensive so we decided to accept more payment methods. It's also better for the customers, they have a nice choice how to pay.

I would highly suggest getting a real merchant account and accept visa/mc/amex/disc It will cost you a few bucks per month but it is so much more worth it then paypal or 2co.

something about a business that only accepts paypal really cheapens the company and kind of scares me a bit
