I'm getting over looking after my 4 young children over the weekend while the good wife had the weekend off. She goes away one weekend a month to her Mother's place and works on quilts like 18hrs a day. They call that "rest"?? :confused: :eek:

Chicken has been quite sick :(

Mr. Chicken has been sick with gastro-intestinal bugs/the flu for the last week and a bit. He's taken some time off work as well.

(don't even ask me about my posting record over the last 2 months either - been flat out offline here)

We've all been surprising well-behaved in his absence. I guess he's trained us well. :D

poor chicken get well mate. this might teach ya to drink gallons of coffee and stay up 24 7 to keep an eye on us.

I am sorry, but I just couldnt resist.

This past month has not been kind to me. It started out as some head cold (I do get some really nasty ones from the kids), which got worse and worse. Well, then it would fool me by suddenly going away for a day (I'm cured!). The next day would slowly progress into a whole new form of hell.

Summing it up, I've been to the doctor a few times. They gave me some medicine the size of golfballs to swallow (slight exaggeration). Was still ill and the next doc told me that those wouldn't do anything for me and that I had something else, gave me this really evil inhaler thingy (nothing like breathing the taste of chemicals 4x a day).

Anywhooo... they aren't addressing the primary symptoms, I'm a bit :angry: at them at the moment, yet will be going back I suppose as this just must end ASAP.

I now seem to get about 1-2 hour periods in the morning when I don't feel like throwing up (it's that time as I write this), and as a benefit of not being able to get off a couch for weeks, I've apparently quit smoking (bad anyhow).

Miss the forum, miss all you guys, and hopefully, unless the doctors medicate me more and make me more ill, I'll be back soon... :D

Glad you to see you peckin' around the forums again. Get well soon. We're all waiting for you to break a thousand posts. Completely overshadows any of the records by Bonds, McGuire, Maris, Ruth, and Aaron.
